Great food! Good options for vegetarians. They do customisations as per your requirements. Service was quick. A clean and small joint. One of the good ramen spot after ramen nagi!

Stopped by for late lunchie. I had the black garlic ramen with seafood, it was so delicious, hot soup and the broth was on point. First time with white peach bottled drink. Hubby had miso ramen with pork slices, broth was scrumptious. He had a mango bottled drink. The ramen portions were so huge, we took home the remaining portions to indulge later. We been here previously and returned again. There's plenty of off street parking.

I used to go to Ramen 101 in San Leandro and thought I'd give this location a try. Walking in, you can order at the kiosk or at the counter then choose a spot to sit--no frills. Gyoza: 3/5 - Not bad, very crispy. My son loved it, he ate it all up. I asked for scissors to cut them and they were very accommodating. Black garlic ramen: 4/5 - Great flavor and portion size. Mildly spicy, which I liked and it wasn't over powering. Parking is fairly easy but depending on the time, it can be pretty busy.

Dived into Ramen 101 the other day and got myself the medium Black Garlic Tonkotsu. Had to add an egg for an extra buck since it doesn't come with one like the other bowls--no biggie. The chashu was super tender. Broth-wise, we're talking pretty good; it did what it needed to without wowing. Now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't Ramen Nagi or Hiro Nori level of good, but a solid "B" rating. I went for the medium spice and it hit the spot just right, but my partner said the spicy level was more mild, so he's eyeing the extra spicy for next time. When it comes to pricing, it's on par with other ramen joints, although here you're with a touchscreen to order and snagging your own seat. Thought it might shave a few bucks off the bill, given there's no dedicated server hustle, but the price tag hung around the same neighborhood as Hiro Nori. Only gripe was the garlic was the freeze dried kind, not fresh like pictured on the touchscreen menu. The service we did get was top-notch; friendly vibes all around. Definitely on my 'hit it again' list, especially since I've been eyeballing the Unagi rice bowl online, and it looks like a bowl of heaven. Ramen 101, you've got my attention!
